9/7/2018: Football Season Raises More Kneeling Questions; Analysis Of Governor's Race Running Mates

Football and politics dominate this week’s Florida Roundup.

Football season is officially underway, but this year, NFL fans are more conflicted than ever.

Some people are boycotting not only the NFL, but also Nike. They’re even destroying their Nike apparel after the iconic brand named Colin Kaepernick as the newest face of Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign.

Here in football crazy Florida there’s lots of reaction as the season begins.

John Devine, Assistant Sports Editor with the The Miami Herald joined us along with Blythe Brumleve, Jacksonville sports radio host, and founder of  Brumleve Brands.

We also looked at the governor’s race where Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, the Democrat in the race, tapped a former rival, Orlando businessman Chris King.

GOP Congressman Ron DeSantis chose Miami State Representative Jeanette Nuñez, the first Cuban-American woman to be a candidate for the job.
