Around The Web: Sex Drive-In's, French Kids Don't Throw Food, Pic Of The Week And More...

Sex In A Box Folks in Zurich have moved the Red Light District by referendum. The headline in The Local reads: “Zurich unveils 'sex boxes' for prostitutes” they further explain it this way, “The site will be open daily from 7pm to 5am, and only to drivers, who must be alone in their vehicle if they want to pass the gate. Echoing a fast-food drive-in, they will have to follow a marked route along which up to 40 prostitutes will be stationed.” Read more. No Food Fights French kids are better behaved then our kids. The Connexion reports the news this way: “When former Wall Street Journal journalist Pamela Druckerman, who moved to Paris to live with her British husband, decided to write about French parenting skills, little did she know the fascination it would create on the other side of the Atlantic and Channel. - Were a lot of Americans indignant you might suggest the French did things better? What about Britons? From the comments I’ve read there was a bit of that, yes.” See more The Weight I like this story from my hometown news paper the Democrat and Chronicle ““I would go at odd hours when nobody was there,” said Richards, about Fit Club 24/7 in Geneseo. “I didn’t want anyone to see me. I was very self-conscious.” At the time, Richards, of York, weighed 318 pounds, wore a size 24 and was on track to getting Type 2 diabetes due to obesity. Three years later, Richards is a muscular size 4 and the head trainer at Fit Club 24/7 — which, ironically, was a Ponderosa buffet restaurant before becoming a health club.” Read more.

The website has been the centre of controversy after the death of 14-year-old Hannah Smith, 14, who is believed to have killed herself at home in Leicestershire after she was bullied on the site.”  read more from the London Evening Standard.

Keep On Truckin’

The REO Speed Wagon was successful enough that the term "speed trucks" became, for a time, a generic reference to the Speed Wagon and its direct competitors.

Get ‘em while they last! It seems some of your favorite trucks are being retired. But there are a few left. “It's the last hurrah for a number of trucks in the U.S. this year, as automakers update their lineups and leave some previously popular models behind. Some of these trucks ended production last year as 2012 models, while others are chugging along for a few more weeks as 2013s.” See if your dream truck is still going to be around.
