City planners want to make walking and biking safer and more popular in Jacksonville, and they’re asking the public to help.
The Transportation Planning Division is putting together a pedestrian and bicycle master plan.
As part of that effort, planners will host two community meetings Wednesday and Thursday to find out where people walk and bike and the kinds of challenges they face.
The first meeting is Wednesday at the public library downtown. The second one is Thursday night at the Greater Refuge Temple Annex on Lem Turner Road.
Both start at 5 p.m.
People who can’t attend can post their concerns and comments on a special Wikimap site set up for that purpose.
