Ken Knight Drivein Jacksonville was flooded during Hurricane Irma on Sept. 11, 2017.

Hurricane Irma survivors have a few days left to use the free Disaster Legal Services hotline set up for low-income Floridians who can’t afford a lawyer.

Callers will be asked to leave their name, contact information and a brief description of their legal issue and a licensed Florida attorney will return their call within two days.

Legal topics that can be addressed include federal and state disaster assistance, landlord-tenant problems, replacement of lost or damaged wills and other legal documents, home repairs and insurance claims.

The hotline is a partnership between the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, the American Bar Association and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Its last day of operation is this Thursday, June 14.
