The Florida Department of Transportation is getting ready to start a big resurfacing project in January.
The project will include resurfacing three miles of roadway, restriping the shoulders to provide for new bicycle lanes, and the removal of on-street parking from Dunsford Road to San Marco Boulevard and from Cornell Road to Peachtree Circle North.
Duval Asphalt, Inc. of Jacksonville is the contractor for the $5.4 million project, which is expected to be finished in the spring of 2019.
FDOT is holding a construction open house for area residents who wish to learn more about the project.
It will be December 7, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, Room D-4, 4001 Hendricks Avenue.
