Former Florida Governor and Republican candidate for president Jeb Bush is in Jacksonville for a town hall meeting Monday where he’s painting himself as the only sensible leader among the GOP candidates.

Bush, unveiling his new slogan, “Jeb can fix it,” told a crowd at Kaman Aerospace: Most people support robust defense spending, but hyper-partisanship has made the issue toxic.

“Restoring some degree of civility, recognizing that someone that might not agree with you doesn't necessarily mean they’re bad people is the first step in getting back to democracy in America again where we start solving problems,” Bush says.

Bush is painting himself as a moderate who can help heal partisan wounds in Washington. He says the budget cuts known as “the sequester” were a result of demonizing and only served to hurt the nation’s safety and its veterans.
