From 1994 until her retirement in 2016, Kris Knab led an agency that provided legal help to an average of 6,000 North Florida families a year. On top of that demanding job, she served as a board member and advisor to multiple boards and organizations involved with helping the victims of pain and injustice. Knab finally succumbed this week to the pancreatic cancer she had seemed to vanquish a few years ago. Funeral arrangements are still in the works. Kris Knab was 67.
