One person is dead following an explosion at a Taylor County weapons manufacturing plan. Another person was airlifted to the hospital.
The explosion occurred Friday morning around 9:30 at AMTEC Less-lethal systems plant. It’s in an unincorporated area of Taylor County.
The explosion happened in only one part of the plant. The victims have not been named and the cause is now under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
The plant manufactures rubber bullets, smoke grenades, tactical gear and pepper sprays.
