An international real estate firm is looking to build a mixed-use development near J.Turner Butler Boulevard on Jacksonville’s Southside.

Hines, the company that developed Palencia in St. Johns County, has a 105-acre parcel under contract. The land near I-295 and Butler Boulevard is slated to become a mixed-use development.

Preliminary plans call for single-family and multi-family residences. Office space and retail could also be included.

The sale of the property is expected to close in late summer.

The architects on the project will be RTKL Associates, and the engineers will be Jacksonville firm ETM.
