This FDOT map shows the Matthews Expressway detour plan.

If you drive downtown on the Bay Street, Union Street, Liberty Street, or a variety of other downtown streets, you might run into slowdowns over a five night stretch as Mathews Expressway traffic is detoured for paving work.

Mathews Expressway eastbound from Liberty Street to A. Philip Randolph Boulevard will be closed during those time periods.

Mathews Expressway westbound from A. Philip Randolph Boulevard to Liberty Street will close Friday night, Dec. 22, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for paving work, weather permitting.
