Weekend revelers will soon have a more frequent ride around the Riverside neighborhood.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is about to start weekly service of its Riverside Avondale Night Trolley

The previously monthly service will run every Friday and Saturday, starting March 4th.

The trolley will run from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Stops will include Five Points, King Street and the Shoppes of Avondale.

For at least part of the evening, buses will connect the trolley to downtown and San Marco.

The increased service is possible partly because of the nonprofit Riverside Avondale Preservation, the Miller-Coors beverage company, and neighborhood businesses.

An unlimited ride pass on the trolley will be $4.
