Sen. Nelson Says He's Tired Of The Lack Of Bipartisanship In D.C.

Kevin Meerschaert

U.S. Senator Bill Nelson says people should rise up and demand members of Congress spot being rigid and work across the aisle to work out a budget deal. Nelson was in Jacksonville on Friday to talk the young business people of Impact Jax, a program of Jax Chamber.

Nelson says authorization of fixing the Mile Point navigation hazard in the St. Johns River and other important legislation is being held up because the  U.S House refuses to act. He also says there needs to be a major overhaul of the U.S. tax code.

Nelson calls the Sequestration "idiotic" and that it never should have been allowed to go into effect. He says the only reason it did was because too many lawmakers weren't willing to compromise.

Nelson also says some sort of sanctions are being discussed to be placed against Russia for granting Eric Snowden  asylum. He called Snowden "a traitor" who should be punished for his actions.
