St. Johns County officials want to know how residents feel about the availability of affordable housing, and they’re inviting them to take an online survey.
The survey is part of a federally mandated study to identify possible discrimination in everything from apartment rentals and real-estate listings to home loans and property appraisals.
St. Johns County spokeswoman Sarah Hand says some of the survey questions are multiple-choice while others ask for a more personal response.
“You know, what’s going on in their backyards. What do they identify as the biggest issues of fair housing and affordable places to live within St. Johns County. Their opinions and their insight is really, really helpful,” said Hand.
The online survey can be taken here through December 12.
Hand says the results of the study will be made public once the analysis is completed.
