Here's a look back at  Jacksonville In-Water Boat Show at Metropolitan Park and Marina this past weekend.

Law enforcement officers would need "reasonable suspicion" to stop and inspect boats sporting state safety stickers, under a measure that sailed through its final House committee last week.
The Economic Affairs Committee voted 12-3 to approve the proposal (HB 703), which would revise a state law about reckless and careless operations of vessels.

There's been a sea disaster near Sicily, as The Associated Press reports:

"A ship carrying African migrants to Europe caught fire and capsized off the Italian island of Lampedusa on Thursday, killing at least 94 people as it spilled hundreds of passengers into the sea, officials said. Over 150 people were rescued but some 200 others were still unaccounted-for."

What you may have seen is the Hyper-Sub, a high speed, long range motor boat that is also a diesel electric submarine. The vehicle is in the Jacksonville area this weekend.
