President Barack Obama called on Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday to clear the way for full international investigations of the site of the downed Malaysia Airlines jet in Ukraine.
Earlier Monday, forensics experts finally gained access to the crash site after days of standoffs over access with Kremlin-backed separatists.
The United States is accusing Russia of providing the surface-to-air missile system that brought down Malaysia Airlines MH17, training rebels in how to use it, and perhaps even supplying the experts who helped to fire it.
As the forensics experts began their work at the crash site, heavy fighting was underway between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian military.
Leadership and national security expert Lieutenant General F. L. Hagenbeck, president of the Jacksonville-based consulting firm Hagenback and Associates, joined Melissa Ross for more on the situation in Ukraine.
