New rules went into effect this month on the sale of CBD products in Florida.

Meanwhile, facing a February deadline, the group Make It Legal Florida is continuing to push for a recreational marijuana legalization amendment for the November ballot. At last check the group had  collected 211,956 of the 766,200 signatures needed.

Attorney Sally Kent Peebles and Folio writer Shelton Hull joined us to discuss what’s going on with cannabis in Florida.

Smart North Florida wants to hear your ideas on improving our community. The group's project, IdeaFest, is an opportunity to imagine becoming a smart community and what that could mean for the area.

The group has identified seven areas in which data sharing, technology and collaboration can make a difference: Safety, Mobility, Energy/Climate, Opportunity for All, Economic Growth, Education and Health.

Jeff Sheffield, Executive Director at North Florida TPO joined us to explain how area residents can help.
