Eastbound and westbound lanes on the Hart Expressway from University Boulevard to Beach Boulevard will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for construction work.
A median wall is being built near the Hart Expressway/Beach Boulevard westbound ramp, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
During the detour, Westbound Hart Expressway traffic will be routed west on Beach Boulevard to access the Hart Expressway at the University Boulevard interchange. Eastbound traffic will exit on University Boulevard and continue south to Beach Boulevard.
U.S. 301 Road Work
Traffic will be also disrupted as road work begins on nearly seven miles of U.S. 301 between the Clay County line and I-10 in Baldwin.
The project includes new asphalt and pavement striping, signal upgrades at State Road 228 and widening the roadway for two existing turn lanes.
According to FDOT, one lane in each direction on U.S. 301 will remain open at all times.
The $6 million improvement project is expected to wrap up by next fall.
