Instead of inching ever higher, Florida gas prices have actually fallen a couple of pennies in recent days.
According to AAA Auto Club, Floridians are paying an average of $2.87 a gallon for regular unleaded.
Analysts have said that downward trend could continue, especially if efforts to unblock the Suez Canal are successful.
The average price of regular unleaded in Jacksonville is around $2.83 a gallon, making it one of the three metro areas in the state with the least expensive gasoline.
Georgians are paying around $2.72 a gallon, while nationally the average price for a gallon of regular is around $2.86 a gallon.
