Joe Carlucci, son of councilman, seeks Jacksonville City Council seat
Joe Carlucci, son of Jacksonville City Councilman Matt Carlucci, plans to run for a council seat.
Carlucci, owner of a Brightway Insurance agency, announced Monday that he will run for City Council in District 5.
“Now more than ever, we need experienced leaders who will put our families and businesses first and continue to push progress for making all our neighborhoods clean and safe.” Carlucci said.
Carlucci said his priorities on City Council will include attracting new jobs and tourism to the community and ensuring Jacksonville remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
He said the city is desperate for "honest, energetic leadership and vision in City Hall — with more collaboration."
Carlucci is a Jacksonville native whose business is headquartered in District 5. He has held leadership positions with the San Marco Merchants Association, Jax Chamber, and CHAMPS. He and his wife, Victoria, live in the Miramar neighborhood with their two children.
