News4Jax
Paid parking is taking effect today in Jacksonville Beach.

The city of Jacksonville Beach will open four paid parking lots Friday, but no worries if you live in the city.

Residents can register their vehicles with the city and avoid the parking fees, which will remain in effect until Oct. 31.

The paid lots are at:

  • 14 1st Street North (Latham Plaza).
  • 422 1st Street North.
  • 503 1st Street North (Pier).
  • 450 2nd Street North.

Paid parking hours are 8 p.m. on Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday; and 10 a.m. Sunday until midnight.
The costs are $3 for the first two hours and $1 per hour for each additional hour, with a maximum of $7. Rates will be different for holidays and special events: a $12 flat rate for Springing the Blues weekend, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend and Beaches Oktoberfest Weekend.

No cash will be accepted for parking fees. The lots have kiosks to pay by credit or debit card, or you can use the ParkMobile app.
