Jacksonville senior citizens soon will have a new affordable apartment community downtown to call home.
Ashley Square is a new senior living apartment building — for people age 62 and older — under construction on a 1.03-acre vacant lot at 650 Newnan St. N. and 116 E. Beaver St. in the city's Cathedral District.
Nonprofit Aging True Community Senior Services headquartered in Jacksonville and Blue Sky Communities LLC of Tampa are the developers of the six-story independent living building. Tampa-based Carteret Management Corporation is the management company.
