Authorities say a high school student received obscene images from a police officer on his Snapchat account.

A veteran Jacksonville Sheriff's Office patrolman has been arrested after a high school student received obscene images on his Snapchat social media account in the past year, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.

Alejandro Carmona, a Clay County resident who has 15 years on the force, was charged Tuesday with online solicitation of a child, transmission of harmful material to a child and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He was immediately suspended as the investigation continues into whether there could be other underage recipients of nude images and videos, sheriff's officials said.

Booked on $100,000 bail, he posted that and was released, Clay County Undersheriff Ron Lendvay said.
