A business owner in Fernandina Beach has been arrested on 13 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.
Jason Thomas Roberts, 45, is the owner of JTR Leadership Training and co-owner of Key Fitness Personal Training, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He also is a former Boy Scout leader.
The FDLE began to investigate Roberts on Jan. 14 after tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about someone sharing child sex files at an online address. Still images and videos discovered included children in sexual situations with adults and other children, the FDLE said in a news release.
The FDLE did not explain how it connected the files to Roberts, who was arrested and booked into the Nassau County Jail on $195,026 bond.
The Facebook page for JTR Leadership Training lists Roberts as a motivational speaker and coach. His LinkedIn page identifies him as an aircraft maintenance squadron commander for the Florida Air National Guard.
Roberts had been a Boy Scout leader with the Western Massachusetts Council, while working with the Massachusetts Air National Guard.
