A new local study is looking at the issues women face after having a baby.In the first year postpartum, up to two-thirds of women experience depression and/or anxiety, and the vast majority deal with sexual problems as well.

On top of that, new moms feel a lot of guilt because they’re expected to feel only immense joy with the birth of their child. Most of the time, women don’t seek help, although it’s readily available.

Nicole Pomeroy, Ph.D. with Julington Creek Counseling  conducted the study and joined Melissa Ross to discuss the results.
