03/04/16: Media Roundtable Week In Review; Prego Expo; 'Frat House'

Media Roundtable Week in Review Logo

We discuss the week's top news stories with our roundtable of local journalists: Larry Hannan, Florida Times-Union reporter; A.G. Gancarski, Folio Weekly and Florida Politics writer; Fred Matthews, Examiner blogger; and Tim Gibbons, Jacksonville Business Journal editor.

Topics include this week's Republican presidential debate, the bill that would allow Jacksonville to extend a sales tax to cover pension costs, and more.

The upcoming Prego Expo, presented by Baptist Health and Wolfson Children's Hospital, aims to help them navigate through everything the need to know before, during and after "the bump.” Cicely Brooks, director of Baptist Health's Perinatal and Pediatric Services, joins us with a preview of the event.

And we learn about Stage Aurora's new production, "Frat House," which tells the story of a preacher's son who joins a fraternity against his father's wishes. The show is onstage this weekend at the Amelia Musical Playhouse. Darryl Rueben Hall, CEO of Stage Aurora and "Frat House" writer, cast member Patrick Johnson, and Amelia Musical Playhouse owners Jill and Gregg Dillingham join us.

Sean Birch joined the WJCT team in late 2011 and was with the company until 2016.
