Jacksonville City Councilman Garrett Dennis has introduced legislation to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana. If passed, it would add Jacksonville to a growing list of states and cities moving to eliminate criminal penalties for recreational use of the drug. Councilman Dennis joined us to discuss his bill in more detail.

Faster Recovery After Surgery

Health care providers are starting to embrace an innovative new set of protocols designed to help patients heal faster after a surgery. They are known as Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, or ERAS.  Josue Brainin, MD, Anesthesiologist at Baptist Health; and Francine Marabell, Director of Safety and Clinical Quality, and Leader of the ERAS Multidisciplinary Task Force for Baptist Health, joined us for a closer look.
