Democratic candidates for Florida’s 6th Congressional District get the opportunity Monday night to talk to voters about their positions on the environment.

The Democratic Environmental Caucus of St. Johns County is hosting the meet-up with former United Nations Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, Ormond Beach businessman John Upchurch and Ormond Beach radiologist Stephen Sevigny.

The winner of the Democratic primary will face one of these Republican candidates in the November election:

  • Fred Costello
  • Michael Waltz
  • John Ward

The seat is currently held by Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis, who is running for governor.
Monday night’s meetup starts at six at the Democratic Party office on Dixie Highway in St. Augustine.

Florida’s largely coastal 6th Congressional District stretches from the south Jacksonville to New Smyrna Beach.
