Protesters in Jacksonville and other areas of Florida have voiced support for the people of Puerto Rico calling for Governor Ricardo Rossello to resign.
The protests began after documents were released showing crude, sexist and homophobic chat messages between the governor and his closest aides.
People lined the street outside the Duval County Courthouse Monday night to make their voices heard.
Maria Garcia is with Jacksonville Community Action, the group that organized the protest. She joined Melissa Ross on First Coast Connect to talk about the Caribbean island's recent issues.
JaxTHRIVE

Chase Magnano used the money he earned from his TV appearance on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire: Whiz Kids Edition, to found his organization. He joined us to talk more about its accomplishments and goals.
