JEA's Headquarters

Florida’s Public Service Commission is meeting this week, and  setting energy efficiency standards for the state’s utilities.

However, the hearings are happening under some controversy. Cities and counties around the state are pushing the group to call for stronger energy efficiency goals - including here in Jacksonville at JEA.

Annie Gilleo, Senior Manager for State Policy, American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy; WJCT reporter Brendan Rivers; And Bruce Doueck, a long-term former JEA employee, joined us for a closer look.

Proton Therapy

UF Health’s Proton Therapy Institute is celebrating a milestone and expanding its lifesaving proton therapy program.

Stuart Klein, Executive Director of the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute; And Nancy Mendenhall, MD, Medical Director of the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, and Professor and Associate Chair of the University of Florida Department of Radiation Oncology joined us with more.
