With warmer weather comes higher gas prices.
The price of regular unleaded has jumped 25 cents a gallon over the past 10 days, according to the American Automobile Association.
AAA’s Mark Jenkins said the spike is just a hint of what’s ahead for motorists. “Triple A is forecasting that gas prices will peak at around $2.75 a gallon by Memorial Day.”
Jenkins blames the hike on routine spring maintenance and refineries’ switch to the more expensive summer blend gasoline.
