The Beech-Nut company is recalling nearly a ton of its baby food. The affected item is "“Stage 2 Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & chicken” packaged in 4-ounce glass jars.
New York-based Beech-Nut says the food may contain small pieces of glass. The product was shipped to retailers nationwide.
The company issued the recall after a consumer complained about finding a sliver of glass in one of the jars.
And at least one mouth injury associated with the recalled baby food has been reported.
