Bicyclists on the First Coast have a new trail to enjoy.
The Clay County Black Creek Park Mountain Bike Trail had its grand opening Monday.
The centerpiece of the project is an eight mile long paved trail that runs next to U-S Highway 17 on Fleming Island for bicyclists and hikers.
Black Creek Park also includes nature paths, restrooms and a covered picnic area.
It took more than a year for the Clay County Bicycles, Blueways and Trails Committee and the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association of Jacksonville to make the Black Creek Park trail a reality.
