The public is invited to help determine the way forward for the Duval County public school system.

The county school board is in the process of developing a strategic plan that will set priorities, values and goals for the coming years.

A series of four community meetings are scheduled this month for people to share their thoughts and ideas.

The first is set for next Monday evening, October 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Raines High School on the Northside.

Face masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.

School district officials say additional meetings and opportunities to participate in the process online are being planned for later in the year.
