Fidelity Investments plans to hire more than 4,000 people nationwide.

Fidelity Investments has announced a big national hiring spree, which will include filling 375 new full-time jobs in Jacksonville by mid-year.

Nationwide, the financial services company expects to fill more than 4,000 positions.

The new Jacksonville hires will be client-facing associates, such as financial consultants and customer service representatives.

When asked whether the Jacksonville jobs will be remote or in-office, Fidelity Investments spokeswoman Kim Reingold said, “While nearly all our employees have been working remotely, we have continued to serve tens of millions of customers by leveraging our technology and operating infrastructure. As a company, when we return, we will do so with some time in the office when it is safe to do so. The curve of the pandemic will direct our actions.”

She anticipates the return to the office will happen at a gradual pace.

Reingold declined to say what the positions will pay but said Fidelity’s salaries are “competitive.”

Fidelity Investments is expanding into more than 20 new markets across the U.S.

The company says its expansion announcement comes after a year of growth where it increased its client-facing employee count by 77% to stay ahead of what it says is “unprecedented customer growth and engagement."
