As the second impeachment trial for former President Donald Trump entered its second day Tuesday, Florida’s congressional delegation stands against it.
Daniel Cronrath, a Professor of Political Science at FSCJ, joined us to explain why, and tell us what to expect as the trial moves forward.
Changing Duval School Names
The names of nine Duval County Public Schools campuses are on track to undergo review starting next month. Stakeholders see the schools’ controversial namesake historical figures as a growing problem. Six of the schools under consideration for renaming honor Confederate Civil War leaders and the other three schools are named after leaders who historians say perpetrated violence against Native Americans.
Two of the schools are Jean Ribault High School and Jean Ribault Middle School. Yves de Montcheuil, a direct descendant of Jean Ribault, spoke with us about the renamings.
Breast Cancer Study
The first retrospective study of its kind to focus on women 70 and older who have triple negative breast cancer found that chemotherapy, despite its downsides, works. The study’s lead author here in Jacksonville, Jennifer Crozier, MD, Breast Medical Oncologist and Director of Breast Cancer Research atBaptist MD Anderson Cancer Center.

- Hundreds of families and supporters nationwide participated in the 12th annual Wolfson Children’s Challenge: Virtual Edition, celebrating former patients of the Hospital in Jacksonville and raising funds for lifesaving treatment.
