As coronaviris cases continue to rise, so to does the pressure on Governor Ron DeSantis to slow the spread of the disease by issuing a statewide shelter-in-place order.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried said Friday on The Florida Roundup, that leaving the decision up to individual cities and counties is not enough.

“If you look at any of the curves and any of the predictions for our state, potentially 200,000 plus people could potentially be hospitalized. We only have capacity for 30-to-40-thousand beds. And that’s not even going to take into account the ventilators.”
