The Florida Highway Patrol warned motorists Wednesday of potentially reduced visibilty in the area of Holloway Road in Putnam County due to a prescribed burn in the area.
The FHP reports the 156-acre burn is in the Etoniah Creek State Forest.
Driving conditions could deteriorate quickly due to smoke or fog-like conditions, according to FHP, especially during night time or early morning hours.
The forest spans 8,879 acres and is named after Etoniah Creek, which is a stream that travels two-and-a-half miles through the eastern portion of the forest.
A prescribed burn is also underway at the Matanzas State Forest, according to FHP, which could impact visibility around U.S. 1 and State Road 206.
