Generation W Launches Citywide Day Of Service

A citywide day of service is coming up this weekend. Hundreds of women and girls will lead the way at the first-ever Generation WORKS.

This Saturday, women and their daughters will be wielding weapons of mass construction at a slew of improvement projects around town.

Generation WORKS is an outgrowth of Generation W, the women’s leadership conference created by Donna Orender.

Orender used to run the WNBA. She says Generation WORKS is putting women’s leadership into action, and it is going to impact a large number of diverse people.

Generation WORKS kicks off Saturday morning at Unity Plaza in Riverside. A variety of projects are scheduled. WJCT will have a team of volunteers building a HabiJax House.
