Going Green: Girls Gone Green Advocate For A 'No Meat March'

Feb 19, 2014

Jacksonville's Girls Gone Green are challenging the First Coast to live without meat for the month of March.

A local nonprofit working to make the First Coast healthier and greener is hoping you'll remove the meat from your diet for 31 days.

The Girls Gone Green are issuing a challenge—it’s called the No Meat March. To sell people on the benefits of a plant-based diet they’re bringing an award-winning documentary to town.

Girls Gone Green founder and CBS 47 meteorologist Julie Watkins and Carly Asse, maker of the acclaimed film UnSupersize Me, joined Melissa Ross on this week's Going Green segment.
