Healthcare Company With State HQ In Jax Beach Ready To Help Administer COVID-19 Vaccines

A healthcare company with its state headquarters in Jacksonville Beach is hoping to start helping administer COVID-19 vaccines by the end of March.

Health Hero administers hundreds of thousands of vaccines to students in schools every year, most of them flu vaccines.

President Jeffrey Lott said that has prepared the company to administer the new COVID-19 vaccines, which are in high demand.

“As a mass vaccinator, we can bring in a team of nurses into a school and vaccinate anywhere from 300 to 600 kids in about an hour and a half. That kind of speed and efficiency allows us to move through school districts effectively and vaccinate as many students as we possibly can,” he explained. “By working with the state, working with large employers, we can actually get in and immunize in large quantities at a very fast pace so they can continue to stay productive and stay healthy through this process.”

Lott said the company is currently in dialogue with government, health care and business leaders about administering COVID-19 vaccines on their behalf.

“I see us involved actively by the end of this quarter providing vaccinations,” he said.

Health Hero employs about 15,000 nurses in 14 states, including Florida.
