Impeachment; First Amendment Foundation

OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE PORTRAIT / VIA WIKIMEDIA COMMONS

On Friday’s Roundup, two members of the House Judiciary Committee from Florida joined us to discuss the latest in the impeachment inquiry, and how it’s playing out in the Sunshine State.

We spoke to Democrat Val Demings, who calls the case against President Trump “pretty overwhelming,” and Republican Greg Steube, who has questioned the lack of direct evidence, as they prepare to consider articles of impeachment next week.

We also talked to the outgoing Florida First Amendment Foundation President Barbara Petersen about the dozens of bills the organization is tracking. She says the bills could limit the public’s right to know what their government is doing.
