A local coffee roaster is percolating into one of the fastest growing specialty coffee companies. Jacksonville-based Civilized Coffee is joining with Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank TV show investor Mark Cuban and his company, “Three Commas,” to create a new line of organic Colombian coffee.
Mark Patterson is the founder and president of Civilized Coffee, which he named for the custom of having civilized conversations.
Patterson told First Coast Connecthost Melissa Ross Tuesday that teaming up with Cuban will bring even more attention to their product.
“Our company has grown three to four hundred percent since 2017. We have sold to every state in the country, to Mexico, Canada, the Carribbean, Europe, the Middle East (military facilities in the Middle East) so we’re rapidly growing,” he said.
The company’s small batch roasts include decaf. They can be found at CivilizedCoffee.com.
