Jacksonville Beach Elementary Wins Blue Ribbon Recognition

U.S. Department of Education
Jacksonville Beach Elementary School wins Blue Ribbon recognition for exemplary academic performance.

Jacksonville Beach Elementary School is a Blue Ribbon School for the third time, becoming recognized Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Education for exemplary high performance.

Jacksonville Beach Elementary is a magnetschool for “academically talented” students with seats being awarded through a lottery. The school has been ranked the highest for K-5 education in the Duval County School District for over a decade.

According to the school’s submission, about 50% of Jacksonville Beach Elementary’s 600 students attended school virtually during the previous school year while the other half had face-to-face instruction.

Despite that, the school maintained top scores in mathematics and English/language arts.

Jacksonville Beach Elementary became a nationally certified magnet school this past spring.
