Jacksonville City Council President Bill Guilliford On The Gas Tax Extension

You can expect to keep paying that six cents per  gallon gas tax in the city of Jacksonville for the next two decades.City leaders have decided to extend the gas tax to the year 2036 to pay for a slew of road projects, and some bicycle and pedestrian projects too.

Here in Jacksonville — a very car-dependent town that is extremely spread out — this is news that affects almost everyone.

What does the extension of the gas tax mean for our transportation network and future infrastructure plans?
