Jacksonville Italian restaurant Il Desco closed its doors Monday.

The restaurant at the corner of King and Park streets in Riverside had been open for just over two years.

It’s the latest closure for owners Forking Amazing Restaurants, which shuttered Ovinté at the St. Johns Town Center in July. Another of the group’s restaurants, Bistro Aix, has been closed for repairs since Hurricane Irma flooded San Marco last September.

But at the same time, Forking Amazing is celebrating the opening of their Cowford Chophouse downtown.

In a news release, owners Jacques Klempf, Fraser Burns and Mark Frisch say they're exploring other restaurant concepts to go in Il Desco’s place. In the mean time, any Il Desco gift cards will be honored at the Cowford Chophouse or Bistro Aix, when it reopens next month.
