Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra Flutist Plays With Award Winning All-Star Orchestra

Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra

The All-Star Orchestra is an ensemble of musicians made up of the best players from major orchestras across the United States, including two from Jacksonville.

On November 14, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will present the orchestra with it's award for broadcasting excellence in New York.

Les Rotteges is a flutist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and the Eastern Music Festival and one of four players in the flute section of the All-Star Orchestra. His JSYM colleague Kevin Reid, who plays French Horn, is also in the group. 

He spoke with WJCT's Melissa Ross about the orchestra.

The inaugural season of the All-Star Orchestra is currently airing Sundays at 1 p.m. on WJCT TV with encores Saturday's at 6:30 p.m. on WJCT More! TV channel 7.4.
