Jax 2025 Initiative Moves Forward

About 400 people last night (Tuesday) attended the latest meeting of the Jax 2025 initiative.  The meeting focused on determining what the goals should be to measure the  success of the initiative.

During previous meetings participants discussed what kind of city they wanted Jacksonville to be in 2025 and what Jacksonville needs to focus on to achieve those  goals.

The meetings are being facilitated by Jacksonville Community Council Inc. Executive Director Ben Warner says setting specific goals is important for the success of Jax 2025.

Warner says the specific goals are part of ten draft vision statements in areas including transportation, downtown development, diversity and stronger neighborhoods.

The next and final Jax 2025 visioning meeting will be held Saturday, April 27th from 9 to 11am at the Prime Osborn Center.

Everyone is welcomed to attend.

JCCI will release a final Jax 2025 report in May.
