The owner of a Jacksonville Beach substance abuse treatment center pleaded guilty Tuesday to running a nearly $60 million money laundering operation involving laboratory testing services.
36-year-old Kyle Ryan Marcotte was accused of setting up a network involving hospitals and labs in Florida and Georgia and then taking kickbacks on the urine tests he funneled to them.
In addition to pleading guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering, Marcotte also agreed to forfeit more than $10 million.
A sentencing date has not been set.
