There’s been a lot of discussion lately about the Jobs for Jax transportation plan, which would raise the gas tax by 6 cents a gallon to pay for infrastructure projects across the city.
But as local officials take a look at this proposal, some are arguing that Jacksonville first needs to fulfill the promises it made to neglected neighborhoods more than 50 years ago when the city and county governments consolidated.
