Kerry was instrumental in the 2015 Paris Climate agreement.  He shared his thoughts Monday on First Coast Connect on President Donald Trump’s 2017 announcement that the U.S. will withdraw from the agreement.

“The danger is that if we don’t respond adequately, and this is absolutely scientific fact, what’s is happening is it’s going to have profound impact on feed production, water and water supplies and ultimately it will endanger many people in many parts of the world, and you’ll have climate refugees, to a greater degree than you already do.  We have climate refugees today; people don’t realize that."

Kerry will be at a BookMarkevent at 220 First Street in Neptune Beach Tuesday night at 7 to promote his new book.. Because of the bookstore’s space limitations the event will actually be held in the Dance Trance studio building directly behind the bookstore.
